Our congratulations to Wheeler Trigg & O’Donnell’s Evan Stephenson for his mention in Law Week Colorado’s “2011 Up-and-Coming Lawyers.”
Evan is an active participant in CCJL’s Legal Advisory Board (LAB) and, last spring, authored an insightful op-ed in The Denver Post, exposing the proposed Senate Bill 107 (2011) as a ruse to enrich plaintiffs attorneys, soak Colorado employers and drive up insurance costs while having very little impact on drunk drivers.
Obviously, CCJL isn’t alone in appreciating Evan’s keen mind and hard work, as noted by Law Week Online:
Evan Stephenson, Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell Attorneys expect tough questions from appellate judges, not praise for their work. Stephenson received such praise from Judge Raymond Kethledge of the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals while working pro bono on a habeas corpus petition for a woman sentenced to 20 years for first-offense possession of cocaine.
