Mary Mullarkey's troubling legacy

Chief Justice Mary Mullarkey, who announced her upcoming retirement this week, presided over a Colorado Supreme Court that in recent years has grown increasingly high-handed — which is somewhat ironic when you think about it. When Mullarkey was appointed to the court in 1987, she actually served as a moderating influence.
